<aside> 🛠 Immutables! Welcome to the very first edition of the Product Update.

A lot goes on behind closed doors and things move fast in the world of crypto. We understand you want to know what the team is focussing on, where they are progressing and what they are spending their time on.

The target audience of this particular piece of content will be our developer/technically minded audiences in the Community. We hope this extra detail will help you to engage and build with the protocol.

As always, communicating exact timelines and some roadmap items won’t be possible, we hope you understand.

Please let us what you think about this initiative, our aim is to make this as useful as possible for our Community.

Developer Experience Team

Recently the Developer Experience Team has been working to make it easier to integrate by releasing the IMX Core SDK. The SDK is now much simpler than the previous SDK and will soon be open sourced.  This is our first step in accelerating developer experience improvements on Immutable X.

We’re also really excited to share that we’ll be releasing a new and improved documentation site later this month. The new docs site makes it much easier to find the content you need, when you need it.

Upcoming developments

Wallet Team

A big win for the Wallet team was going live with IMX & GODS on MoonPay. This represents a significantly easier user experience with the tokens being able to be purchased with a credit card and directly deposited into L2 wallets.

Another important update is the L1 Arbitrary Signature Request. This feature allows partners to request signatures for arbitrary reasons. However it will not allow partners to use the same string we use to generate stark keys. This will improve how partners verify user actions.

Upcoming developments

Protocol Team

You will notice that the attached photo is blurry, this is intentional. Whilst we can’t share exactly what is going on in this image, we’re happy for you to guess ;). Unfortunately a lot of the work related to the protocol team is sensitive, we hope to share more with you very soon!
